Mig welding which some say in there opinion its the easiest process

Mig welding uses inert gas and is useful because you can use it to weld many different types of metals such as Carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, copper, nickel, silicon bronze and other alloys. Shielding gases are necessary for gas metal arc welding to protect the welding area from atmospheric gases such as nitrogen and oxygen, which can cause weld defects like for example Porosity.

Mig (GMAW)

  • Very Clean welds with no slag or spatter
  • Uses argon/CO2 or straight CO2 as a shielding gas
  • Wire is less expensive
  • More complex than flux core
  • Less portable

Safety can be the most stylish part about welding! and the most important

Safety is key to welding. It is very important to wear proper safety while welding or even just roaming around the shop. First you would want to make sure you have jeans on and not pants or anything thin. Also, you should get a welding jacket that you are comfortable with during work. Steel toe boots are actually the exact boots your are supposed to have in your work area. Wearing safety glasses also protects the eyes from spatter and dirt. You welding helmet is the most important in my opinion because without it you wouldnt be able to weld or do anything really.(Click here: http://www.lincolnelectric.com/en-us/education-center/welding-safety/Pages/personal-protective-equipment-faqs.aspx
